Abstract

Technological advances in the modern era are progressing rapidly. Developers try to produce technology that has many uses so that it can be used by many people, considering current technological advances. There must be management of the use of computer networks, including file sharing, printer sharing, computers, and users. In this context, the concepts of OU and GPO on the Windows Server 2019 operating system play an important role in better network management. Windows Server 2019 is a server operating system from Windows designed to manage computer networks. Through the use of OU and GPO, network administrators can organize, group, and manage objects such as users, computers, groups, and other devices in a more structured way. Using GPO-based OU in Windows Server 2019 can significantly increase efficiency, consistency and security in computer network management. Through designing a proper OU structure and thoughtful GPO configuration, organizations can achieve the full benefits of implementing OU and GPO in a computer network environment. Utilizing OU can optimize computer network management because administrators can logically manage network objects such as users, computers and groups using OU. GPO are used to apply configurations and policies to the OU. Administrators can control security rules, display options, auto-updates, and access rights using GPO. Utilization of the drag and drop (move) users and computers feature between OU makes it easier for administrators to manage and manage computer networks.
