Abstract

In an attempt to maintain the continuity of food production, Glintung Water Street (GWS) applied a drip irrigation system on melon plants. Drip irrigation system isa way of distributing water from the main pipe through emitters that are distributed through the flow in the piping network. The water requirement of melon plants fordrip irrigation is about 1-2 liters/day per plant. Therefore, the purpose of this studyis to analyze the flow distribution in the pipe to 15 drip irrigation points in achieving the desired flow rate, which is 30 liters per day. The research used an experimental quantitative method, with data obtained including flow velocity, irrigation flow discharge data, and droplet uniformity. The results showed that the flow distribution in the pipes to 15 drip irrigation points met the desired flow discharge, which is 30 liters per day in the Glintung Water Street (GWS) village. However, the distribution of flow discharge at each irrigation point is different. In addition, the uniformity of water distribution shows differences in the uniformity criteria of each irrigation point, with an average uniformity of 91.78%.
