Abstract

In the era of society 5.0, where technology has developed quite massively, it is necessary to adapt to society
to start implementing technology in everyday life. One of them is the technology in the field of image processing. Purposed research implements image processing to detect 6 colors. the 6 colors are red, yellow, green, purple, blue and orange. Raspberry Pi is used as the processing brain and a 2 megapixel web camera as input. Color detection uses the hue value method. Hue is related to the wavelength of light. Web cameras detect the wavelength range of light. Red color detection ranges from hue 1 to 4, orange 5 to 22, yellow 23 to 32, green 33 to 77, blue 78 to 130 and violet 131 to 169. The test is carried out by detecting the color of objects given different light intensities. After conducting research, it can be concluded that this study can be declared valid because it has a detection percentage of 88% successfully detecting 6 colors. If the detected color is outside the 6 predefined colors, the proposed tool will detect a color that is close to thehue range.
