Abstract

The magnitude of the potential and the need for knowledge in the field of agriculture requires community empowerment, especially farmers. Community empowerment is an activity or method in an effort to make people more empowered or able to overcome problems within themselves and their environment. Rimba Ukur Village, Sekayu Sub-district is currently getting harvests that are not as expected due to the influence of weather factors and community knowledge about good and right farming, therefore the community needs knowledge in the field of community empowerment, especially farmers.
The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the role of village government in village community empowerment. The purpose of this research is to contribute thinkers and theories about the role of village government, especially farmer groups and community participation.
The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. The techniques used in data collection are interviews, observation, and documentation. The techniques used in data analysis are data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The location used for research is in accordance with the title of the thesis, namely "The Role of Village Governments in Village Community Empowerment (Farmers Group Study in Rimba Ukur Village, Sekayu District, Musi Banyuasi Regency) ”
The results of the study indicate the role of the village government in empowering rural communities. has been running quite well, but there are still some obstacles that become problems in its implementation.
