Abstract

Freshman students are defined as those who represent the critical and future-predicting condition in the program in terms of the student' quality. It implies that the information about those students achievement should be obtioned in a valid way in order that the department can give appropriate treatments to those students for their future quality. This study is a developmental study; based on the analyses of two try-outs. It aims at developing a reading comprehension test. The results revealed that relying on the two test result analyses, the developed test has met the criteria of being a valid, reliable, and hence practical test with some limitations as stated on the deficiency in the development of the test.
