N2  - The city is the center of all activities with various developments in it causing an increase in the needs of the city population, including the need for land in various sectors. The impact of the increasing needs of urban residents has put significant pressure on the availability of urban green open space. The existence of green open space in the urban environment is considered very important and necessary which plays an important role for the environment. The aim of this research is to analyze the implementation of green open space policy in Malang City and to analyze the driving factors and obstacles to the implementation of green open space policy in Malang City. This research method uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research show that the implementation of the Green Open Space policy in Malang City based on Malang City Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 6 of 2024 has been implemented by carrying out outreach regarding the Green Open Space policy in Malang City, placing employees in positions appropriate to their fields. respective scientific knowledge as well as carrying out bureaucratic reform. The Green Open Space policy implementation process has driving factors such as public needs and priorities, social and economic interests and availability of resources and funding. This makes it possible for the process of implementing the Green Open Space policy in Malang City to run well. However, in the process of implementing the Green Open Space policy there are still obstacles such as fiscal limitations, budget politics, as well as expensive land prices and people not wanting to sell their land.
