In general, the people of Manado know and realize the benefits of taking out the trash in a good place for the health of themselves and their families and for society at large. In this case, the behavior of community leaders, religious leaders, officials, particularly the cleaning staff particularly the Department of Hygiene and Gardening Manado City officials can become a reference point for people to behave clean, 3) Efforts by the Government in the Manado area of waste management through: (1) Increase the range of waste, (2) Addition of garbage workers, (3) looking for a new landfill away from home, (4) Reducing reliance on landfill, (5) The addition of waste fleet, (6) Reduction in government subsidies, (7) Privatisation of waste management, (8) Improve the quality of citizen awareness of healthy living will be good to yourself and in the surrounding environment and positive socialization effects of negative and manage waste, and (9) Strengthening institutional / rules are clear and unequivocal. To support this effort, understanding-based model developed for waste management that involves the participation of urban communities all components of society, namely the executive, legislative, cleaning staff NGOs, religious leaders, community leaders / society, intellectuals / academics, the community at large.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">HN Social history and conditions.
