Abstract

This final report is intended to explain about the traffic jam problem in Singosari. The traffic jam has become a very complicated problem, especially in big cities like Jakarta, Surabaya, and no exception Singosari Malang. The traffic jam in Singosari is similar to the traffic in big cities in Indonesia. By that reason, the writer doing a survey to find out what probably causes the traffic jam in Singosari.
Apparently, after a further observation, there are a lot of traffic jam causes in Singosari, starting from the number of vehicles which very rapidly until traffic violations such as random parking on the roadside. The writer then uses a brainstorming system to find alternative solutions for the causes of traffic jam in Singosari. After that, the writer chose the right solution and that can be applicable
to the problem. The right solution is to start from giving penalties for parked vehicles on the roadside, traffic management, and making the additional facilities, such as fly-over building to facilitate activities on Singosari road. Thus, in the writer's opinion, those solution as a consideration to suppress the traffic jam problem in Singosari.
