Abstract

Change of speed stream and pressure fluid or change both of them caused vibrations in piping system
are called self excited vibrations. Beside that stream fluctuation can increase the happening of energy
losses in stream.
The aim of this experiment to obtain fluid stream characteristics that caused self excited vibrations
and structure characteristics is effected the vibrations.
The applied method is a model simulation with ANSYS software in order to analyse of fluid stream
characteristics when passed throught pinch area and structure analysis that is effected by the fluid
stream characteristics. The result of stream characteristics are pressure change and speed of stream
at the inlet and oulet area and also pinch area. Here in after the stream characteristic used to analyse
vibration characteristic with mathematical model.
The result of which is obtained from model simulation indicate that moment fluid flow characteristic
pass pinch area happened change of potential energy in the form of pressure become kinetic energy in
the form of speed of stream and or on the contrary. The frequency of self excited vibrations from
mathematical model equation show value between 16 - 18 Hz. The result of structure simulation
model ANSYS show average pressure around 2,15 . 107 N / m2 with elongation equal to 2,8%.
