Abstract

The informal sector employment has played an important role in the national economy and is savior for the nation during the 1998 finansial crisis. Informal sector, therefore can serve as the nation strategi economic pilar as well as the nation's economic autonomy indicator. If well assisted such as by providing an access to bank loans to expand business activities and facilitating legal as well as daily opperation protection, informal sector will be the main player in the upcoming ASEAN Free trade era (ASEAN Economic Community) which will Come into effect by the endof this year 2015. Traditional market tradesmen are among the main playersof the informal sector.
Traditional market is in fact not only economic entity but it also a social system in which trader and buyer establish and maintan social interaction in mutually beneficial manner. It is therefore an indicator to measure social and economic improvement of any society.Historical evidences have shown that any social progression was closely related to the advancement of traditional market Added to that, it is an important social and economic institution of any society in which they transform themselves socially,economically as well as politically. To put it in another way, it is an economic spacw where traders and buyers join economic transactions. Not only it is economic transactions arena between traders and buyers but it is also a social room for both parties to establish and maintan social interaction as well as to exchange values and norms.
To sum up, traditional market is social entity since it comprises the relation involving a diverse race, ethnic, and religion from both parties. This pluralistic social and dynamic. This social relation will be more vibrant with their adoption of the sophisticated cellular Phone technology. This article tries to explicate the adoption of cellular Phone technology adoption among traditional market tradesmen in bringing about their dynamic social relations. To what extent does this adaptive behavior influence the quality of their social and economic relations.
